But Ink Pony Club is not interested in assembling a room full of talented people who cannot work together.

Clear Pay Structure. No Surprises.
We believe artists should understand the financial structure before deciding whether Ink Pony Club is the right fit.
Ink Pony Club uses a flat percentage contribution model. We do not offer booth rent.
Artists begin with a probationary period that includes formal evaluations at 30, 60, and 90 days. During probation, the artist retains 60% of their tattoo income and contributes 40% to the shop.
After successfully completing probation, the artist retains 70% and contributes 30% to the shop.
After five years with Ink Pony Club, the artist becomes eligible to retain 80% and contribute 20%.
Artists may reach the 80/20 level sooner by achieving at least $150,000 in annual net tattoo production. The accelerated rate remains in place as long as that production level is maintained.
This structure is designed to reward professional growth, strong client relationships, consistent production, longevity, and meaningful contributions to the Ink Pony Club team.
The First 90 Days.
The probationary period gives both the artist and Ink Pony Club time to confirm that the relationship is a strong professional and cultural fit.
Evaluations at 30, 60, and 90 days consider reliability, sanitation, communication, client care, teamwork, professionalism, studio participation, and progress toward agreed goals.
Feedback will be direct, constructive, and documented. Successful completion of probation moves the artist to the standard 70/30 structure.
What We Ask From You.
We are not looking for perfect people. We are looking for accountable people who care about improving.
Artists at Ink Pony Club are expected to treat clients and coworkers with kindness, maintain a clean and professional workspace, communicate clearly, honor their commitments, and contribute positively to the studio.
We also ask every artist to remain open to continued education, thoughtful critique, and mentorship in both directions. That may include helping apprentices understand the craft, allowing supervised observation when appropriate, answering questions, contributing educational material, and remaining willing to learn from artists with different strengths and experiences.
A Safe Studio Is Nonnegotiable.
Ink Pony Club has zero tolerance for harassment, racism, sexism, discrimination, bullying, intimidation, or retaliatory behavior.
Artists must remain fully functional and professionally sober while working, interacting with clients, or representing the studio. Illegal substances and impaired behavior have no place in our shop.
These standards apply to everyone, regardless of experience, seniority, popularity, or production.

A strong tattoo portfolio and sound technical foundation.
Professional sanitation, safety, and bloodborne-pathogen practices.
Reliable scheduling and clear client communication.
Punctuality and respect for appointments, coworkers, and shared time.
A clean, organized station and participation in shared studio upkeep.
Respectful treatment of clients from every background and experience level.
A positive, inclusive, and professional client experience.
Willingness to give and receive constructive feedback.
Support for apprentices and developing artists.
Commitment to continued education and mentorship in both directions.
The ability to work independently while contributing to the team.
No gatekeeping, intimidation, harassment, discrimination, or ego-driven behavior.
